Norwich City Talents Set To Leave On Loan

Some of Norwich City’s young talents are set to depart the club on loan before Friday’s transfer deadline.

The Canaries are hoping to push a few of their promising youngsters into the EFL and beyond in order to aid their development outside of the academy environment.

Striker Ken Aboh is attracting strong interest from the EFL and is likely to complete a loan move away from Carrow Road before the deadline. MK Dons and Notts County are understood to be among those interested in the teenager.

Jaden Warner, who made his senior debut for City last season, is another expected to head elsewhere in pursuit of first team football. Clubs from both League One and Two and Scotland are interested in the highly-rated central defender.

There is likely to be movement on the group of players currently occupying the under-21s squad who have experienced first team football previously either at Carrow Road or out on loan – that includes the likes of Jonathan Tomkinson, Tony Springett, Lewis Shipley and Finley Welsh.

City have already sent Emmanuel Adegboyega to Dundee United and Vicente Reyes out to Cambridge United.

Robbie Thelwell, who works in City’s recruitment team as head of technical scouting, has been handed additional responsibility for monitoring the progress of those out on loan by sporting director Ben Knapper and will be tasked with sourcing loans for those players.

Jaden Warner is another Norwich City youngster who could be depart on loan.

City boss Johannes Hoff Thorup confirmed that there were a group of players being considered for potential loan postings away from Carrow Road as the transfer window ticks into its final 24 hours.

“Definitely. We are talking about that, because what we need to make sure is that we have a team now where it’s players that are able to compete, and they can see they are within distance of that team, and there’s a chance that they can get into the starting XI,” the Dane told the Pink Un.

“If not, then we have to find some options. There are maybe three to five players in that category.

“We have to see if it is better for them to go out on loan.”
