Swindon Town are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Joe Snowdon on a one-year contract, subject to EFL approval.
The 20-year-old, who joined Leeds United from Manchester City in 2020, has been a standout performer for the Whites’ Under-21s. During the 2024–25 season, he made 12 appearances in Premier League 2, scoring four goals and providing several assists. His performances also included key contributions in cup competitions, notably scoring in a National League Cup match against FC Halifax Town.
Known for his technical ability and adaptability, Snowdon can operate across various midfield positions, offering flexibility to the squad.
Upon signing for Swindon Town, Joe Snowdon said: “I’m buzzing to be here at Swindon as it’s a club full of history and I’m just really looking forward to getting started and getting going.”
“I’m a versatile player, but I like to get on the ball, get goals, and get assists. I’ve managed to get my first taste and exposure to men’s football last season in the National League Cup and also the EFL Trophy.”
“I spoke to Ian, he was incredible to speak to, so refreshing, and he didn’t seem in a rush when he spoke to me. He gave me so much of his time, and I really can’t wait to start working with him.”
Joe Snowdon marks Ian Holloway’s fourth signing of the summer, with supporters’ first sighting of Joe will be in our first pre-season fixture against Swindon Supermarine.
