For the 15th time in program history, the Alabama Crimson Tide softball team will be heading to Oklahoma City for the Women’s College World Series. Head coach Patrick Murphy and his team earned a massive upset win in Knoxville over the Tennessee Lady Vols in the three-game super regional matchup.
Though Tennessee got the win in Game 1, Alabama bounced back in Game 2 and won it in extra innings and then finally punched its ticket to the Women’s College World Series in Game 3, opening the game with a four-run first inning.
Alabama fans are excited to see the Crimson Tide return to Oklahoma City and compete for a national title, especially in a season where many had counted them out.
