Ben Miller - 2024 - Baseball - Duke University

Seven Blue Devils were honored with All-ACC recognition on Monday, as Duke placed a program tying four players on the first team. Charlie Beilenson, Ben Miller, Zac Morris and Jonathan Santucci highlight the seven recipients, all earning first team All-ACC honors. The seven recipients on the All-ACC teams are the most in program history for Duke.

In addition to those four, Alex Stone was tabbed to the second team, while freshman AJ Gracia earned his way onto the third team and All-Freshman Team. Fellow freshman Kyle Johnson joined Gracia on the All-ACC Freshman Team in his rookie campaign.

Beilenson, the 6-foot right-handed pitcher from Los Angeles, Calif., was named to the midseason Stopper of the Year Watch List and Dick Howser Trophy Semifinalist List, following his impressive body of work as the Blue Devils closer. The righty has posted a 6-3 record on the mound in his 52.2 innings of work, holding opponents to a .178 batting average against. He is second on the team with 78 strikeouts and has recorded 11 saves, one off tying the school record for a single season, during the 2024 campaign. Beilenson enjoyed a stellar April, posting a 0.00 ERA and a perfect 5-0 record in 11 appearances.

Miller, a 6-foot-1 third baseman from Durham, N.C., was recently named to the Dick Howser Trophy Semifinalist List, Golden Spikes Midseason Watch List and Bobby Bragan National Collegiate Slugger Watch List, after producing at a high level this season. In his 48 games played, he leads the team in batting average (.383), OPS (1.144), hits (75), slugging percentage (.679), and on base percentage (.465). He tallied an 18-game hitting streak throughout the middle portion of the season and has been a key part to the Blue Devils success on the infield.

Morris, a 5-foot-11 second baseman from Suffolk, Va., has been a mainstay at the top of the Duke lineup all year long. Morris has produced a .335 average in his 53 starts, collecting 61 runs, 72 hits, 10 doubles, 15 home runs and 49 RBI. He posts a .600 slugging percentage and has drawn 34 walks for the Blue Devils. He finished the regular season with a .432 on base percentage and stole 13 bases to lead the team in 2024.

Santucci, a 6-foot-2 left-handed pitcher from Leominster, Mass., was named to the Golden Spikes Midseason Watch List. On the year, Santucci has started 12 games as the Blue Devils ace, working 56 innings and posting a 6-1 record. He holds a 3.54 ERA, allowing 39 hits and striking out 84 batters this season. The southpaw has held opponents to a .189 batting average against and he earned the first ACC Pitcher of the Week honors since Bryce Jarvis, following his 14-strikeout performance against Akron.

Stone, a 6-foot-5 catcher from Andover, N.J., was tabbed to the Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Watch List and Preseason Bobby Bragan National Collegiate Slugger Award List. The senior has produced a .326 average at the plate, starting all 53 games this season. He has produced 70 hits, 18 doubles, 11 home runs and 56 RBI. He adds a .563 slugging percentage and .382 on base percentage this year. Stone also moved into 23rd all-time on the career doubles list with 41 and third in career home runs, five from tying the program record with 38.

Gracia, a 6-foot-3 outfielder from Monroe, N.J., broke the Duke program record for RBI by a freshman and home runs by a freshman in his rookie campaign. Gracia passed Joey Loperfido for most RBI by a Blue Devils’, producing 51 on the season. The lefty has posted a .311 average in his 53 starts, scoring 52 runs, collecting 60 hits, 13 doubles and 12 home runs. He also leads the team with 43 walks and has been hit by six pitches, boosting his on base percentage to .447.
